This book collects, translates and analyzes most of the major non-biblical traditions about the prophet Ezekiel. The traditions are comprised of quotations and early Jewish works ascribed to the prophet but which are not found in the biblical book that bears his name, and biographical and hagiographical traditions that attempt to provide information about the life and death of the prophet. By gathering all these materials together this book allows the reader to see the way that apocryphal traditions about Ezekiel developed in early Judaism and Christianity.
