The purpose of this study is to establish the phonetic correspondences between North-West Semitic and Egyptian. All Egyptian proper names and loanwords from North-West Semitic texts including Biblical Hebrew are collected and investigated. The established correspondences reveal that words are of Egyptian origin or cognates. This work will be of lexicographical as well as philological value.
