From Contempt to Curiosity: Creating the Conditions for Groups to Collaborate Using Clean Language and Systemic Modelling
By Caitlin Walker

The book is a series of stories from Caitlin’s first meeting with David Grove to the development of Clean Modelling for groups, and contains the principles and models underpinning Systemic Modelling.

It’s as relevant to business leaders as it is to parents, and to organisational development as it is to creating learning communities.

About the author

Caitlin Walker
was introduced to David Grove, originator of Clean Language, in the late 1990s and as well as developing her skills in one-to-one therapy, she began to devise group level applications for his work.

She became a tutor in a central government funded project to work with groups of at-risk young people with the aim of keeping them within mainstream education. During this time she developed her unique approach to using Clean Language as a process for creating a self-modelling culture across the group. Rather than teaching the young people from an expert position, she facilitated them to become peer coaches. They could then use their diverse experiences and strengths to support one another to transform their learning and behaviour.
